Suffice it to say I was a USN sailor. Was I an officer? Are you kidding me?
I actually passed a Navy ROTC exam before college. Well, where I lived there were
mixed feelings about the military in my day. University tuition was cheap, I opted for that.
At age 30 I was bored and wanted to see the world. I was a fleet sailor. I saw a Mediterranean
Cruise and a Western Pacific Cruise. I did it in about three years. What? I imagine I functioned
as an undesignated rear admiral.
